Members
Over 800 men have become Brothers of the Kappa Alpha Order since the chapter was
chartered in 1963. Today the active chapter has over 20 active members on the Northwestern campus. These Brothers represent many different academic majors and come from small towns and large cities throughout Louisiana and adjoining states.
Our Chapter has always had an active role on the campus and in the community. A part of the undergraduate fraternity experience is development of leadership skills that can be applied later in careers and life.
Being a part of the Gamma Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order at Northwestern State University is a unique opportunity that will not only enrich the college years but also bond you with men who become friends for life.
The concept of a fraternity man being a total person involved in campus, community and the chapter as well maintaining high academic standards is encouraged annually by the chapter with the presentation of the $1000 Jon Weyand Scholarship to the active members that best exemplifies these attributes in our chapter.
