Parties
Gamma Psi Chapter is known for its parties throughout the school year. . .there are Jungle Party in September, Homecoming and Halloween in the fall, Sorority Exchanges throughout the year, and Hell’s Angels in March.
The two biggest events on the Social Calendar are Christmas on the Hill and Old South.
Christmas on the Hill is part of the Natchitoches Christmas Festival. Called the North Louisiana Mardi Gras by some, it is the biggest party every year in the northern part of the state. And best of all, the parade passes right in front the KA House giving members and guests the prime viewing spot for the festivities from our sloping front yard. When the parade ends, the party moves downtown for the big fireworks and turning on the Lights. This is one of the best parties in Louisiana, and the KA House is a great base for a full day of partying.
Old South is the annual weeklong Spring celebration culminating on the weekend with the Lawn Party at a plantation here in Natchitoches and the Old South Ball that night. Then Sunday afternoon everyone gathers on the banks of the Cane River for Recuperation Party and to rehash the memories of the weeklong party.
“It doesn’t get any better than Old South at our chapter.”
